Ruby's 'New World Legacy' En route To Jamaica

ATLANTA, April 7, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ruby Mining Company (OTCBB:RUBM) ("Ruby"), which conducts its operations through its wholly owned subsidiary, Admiralty Corporation ("Admiralty"), today announced that its newly acquired shipwreck search and recovery vessel the "New World Legacy" is en route to Jamaica's Pedro Bank.

Before the "New World Legacy" departed New Orleans, the Jamaica Association of Louisiana treated the crew to a send-off dinner aboard the ship. A delicious feast of traditional Jamaican foods, including beef patties, rice and peas, jerked chicken, curried chicken, sauces and fried plantains was served. Also given out were gifts of spices, Jamaican Rum, world-renowned Blue Mountain coffee and a Jamaican flag. The "New World Legacy" has now been registered and will be flagged as a Jamaican vessel.

Mr. Russell Bennett, the well-known mapping expert retained by Ruby, has been installing new mapping and sensing equipment on the New World Legacy and testing it to ensure that it is working properly. Mr. Bennett stated, "This equipment is state-of-the-art. I will be able to 'see' objects buried under the ocean floor far better than I have ever been able to do in the past." This technology combined with the ATLIS(tm) technology to identify the presence of gold and silver will give us a significant advantage in the location of valuable artifacts.

Mr. Bennett is an expert in field operation and interpretation of magnetometry and pulse induction sensors. He is the author of "Gammas on Line"(C), a software program which combines magnetometer readings with Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) data, using an NMEA 183 interface. The program permits the output of these systems to be connected to an IBM compatible computer using an RS-232 interface which stores the combined data on a computer disc/file and displays the magnetometer output in graph form on the screen for real-time analysis. Mr. Bennett has extensive hands-on experience with multiple GPS interfaces.
