Helena Tammi-Saarinen (47) has been appointed Kemira's new Senior Vice President, HR, from 1 June 2004, on which date she will transfer to her new position from her current position as HR director in Valio Oy. Mrs Tammi-Saarinen will report to CEO Lasse Kurkilahti and she will become a member of the Kemira Group's internal management board.
Prior to her position as HR director in Valio Helena Tammi-Saarinen has been in charge of the company's Helsinki site and in several demanding positions in marketing and training e.g. in Valio Oy and Kesko Oyj.
Matti Lapinleimu, having acted - in addition to his position as Executive Vice President, Kemira Service - also as Senior Vice President - HR, will continue in his responsibility as head of Kemira Service.
The operational efficiency of Kemira's group management has been enhanced by dividing the Group's internal management board into the strategic and the operative management board.
