Sampo plc, Storebrand, Skandia and Skandia Liv have today signed an agreement by which 51.89 per cent of If Skadeförsäkring Holding Ab's shares are transferred to Sampo's ownership. As of today, If is Sampo plc's subsidiary. Sampo holds a total of 89.94 per cent of the shares and 89.54 per cent of the votes in If. The Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company holds the remaining 10.06 per cent of the shares, which give the right to 10.46 per cent of the votes.
Torbjörn Magnusson, CEO of If, has also been appointed as a member of the Executive Committee of Sampo Group.
