View Systems Updates Expanding Product Lines

BALTIMORE, May 27, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:VYST) today announced the significant developments experienced in its three product lines.

The SecureScan recently completed the second phase of testing in two major school systems with exceptional results. The concealed weapon detection portal was integrated with School Tech's attendance program, and performed flawlessly with throughput levels of up to 1,500 students per hour. Even in the first days of operation; razor blades, box cutters hidden in undergarments and contraband not detected by other regular metal detectors were rapidly located and visually registered in the SecureScan's memory banks. View, through its joint venture marketing partner, has responded to requests for proposal at quantities of 50, 100, and 150 units for one of the school districts. The quotes are at price points, which allow View to escalate its manufacturing and benefit from economies of scale and efficiencies of mass production. View expects additional orders to be consummated before school resumes next fall and installs to run continuously throughout the year.

In 2003 View Systems put in place the structure necessary to expand their sales channels and acquisition of new technologies. One of these technologies is the FirstView product. A Hazardous Materials camera with long-range, ultra-clear encrypted video transmission system acquired from INEL, the Idaho federal laboratory. This product has been exceptionally popular with the National Guard and various military units. Designed for first responders and fire departments, the FirstView product is being transitioned from hand built single units to multiple, line assembled production, June shipping has been scheduled. Five additional units have been ordered in May for June delivery and eight have verbally requested for the July time period. Two major distributors have committed FirstView to their product line with rollouts planned as soon as possible. View is intensely working to build an inventory supply that includes "on the shelf" back up units. Adding the HAZCAM to View's growing distribution channels will lead to larger sales from government buyers and position the company for long-term growth.

The ViewMax product line has been steadily growing with local sales to liquor stores, sports bars, restaurants, nightclubs, marinas and convenience stores. The ViewMax product is a steadily increasing producer for our local area sales and can eventually be the sustaining base to cover overhead, rent, telephone and other basic expenses. Our sales for April were just over $60,000

Gunther Than, of View Systems states, "We are moving in the right directions with basic sales increasing in the ViewMax product line. The SecureScan has passed trails and evaluations for large city school applications and we are in a bidding process to meet June budget deadlines. The price points we are quoting are competitive and have value added. The HazMat product is bringing excitement from the homeland security product sector. The plus factors with the First View product is a significant price point at just under $30,000 per unit and the potential of training revenue. The FirstView product has been field tested with almost $500,000 in sales and service being delivered by INEL last year. Sales for FirstView are accelerating rapidly with orders being taken weekly. Sales for SecureScan are just a longer slower process with the government sector moving more methodically. View will continue to work with officials at INEL, to commercialize innovative technology for homeland security."
