MEDIA ADVISORY, June 28, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) --
WHAT: Nominations for the 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Awards,
which honor the commitment and accomplishments of the
world's leading companies and individuals in the
3G mobile industry, are now being accepted by the CDMA
Development Group (CDG) (www.cdg.org).
Awards will be given in the categories of:
-- Industry Leadership
-- International Leadership
-- Service Innovation
-- Subscriber Technology Innovation
-- Network Technology Innovation
-- Innovative Solutions
There is also a write-in category where you may suggest
an award of your own design.
The nominations process is open to the public;
nominations will be accepted through August 16. Final
selection of the award winners will be made by a panel
of judges that will include 3G operators, equipment
suppliers, analysts, and members of industry
associations and the media.
WHO: The CDMA Development Group is a trade association formed
to foster the worldwide development, implementation and
use of CDMA technologies. The more than 100 member
companies of the CDG include many of the world's largest
wireless carriers and equipment manufacturers. Primary
activities of the CDG include development of CDMA
features and services, public relations, education and
seminars, regulatory affairs and international support.
Currently, there are more than 500 individuals working
within various CDG subcommittees on CDMA-related
matters.
WHEN: The 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Awards will be
presented at the 2004 CDMA Americas Congress in Miami,
on Tuesday, September 28.
HOW TO
NOMINATE: Nominations can be made online at www.cdg.org. The
deadline for nominations is August 16, 2004.
