HERNDON, Va., June 30, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Information Technology (IT) sector named Jeffrey Harmon manager, Integrated Justice Programs, Public Safety Solutions.

Harmon will serve as a senior advisor for law enforcement information sharing technologies for criminal justice solutions and homeland security.

Harmon has more than 20 years of professional service and experience in public safety, criminal justice and law enforcement. He recently retired as deputy chief of the Maine State Police.

His public service contributions include past chairman of the National Crime Prevention and Privacy Compact Council; member of the National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System board of directors; member of the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services Advisory police board; and past chairman of the Maine Criminal Justice Information Services Policy board. He also served as vice chairman of SEARCH (the National Consortium for Justice Information and Statistics), where he was the 2003 recipient of the Gary R. Cooper Meritorious Service Award.

Harmon holds a bachelor's degree from Northeastern University and is a graduate of the FBI Academy.
