MEDIA ADVISORY, July 1, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) --
WHAT: Media representatives will be on hand to share
information about the upcoming Fourth of July traveler
forecast and remind passengers not to bring fireworks
to the airport. LAX officials are expecting more than
800,000 travelers over the holiday weekend beginning
Friday, July 2, and extending through Monday, July 5.
This would be an increase of approximately 12 percent
over last year's comparable July 4th holiday period.
WHEN: Friday, July 2, 2004
7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
WHERE: Terminals 1 and 7
WHO: Los Angeles International Airport media representatives
PARKING: Broadcast-equipped media vehicles displaying a valid
LAX Media Parking permit may park terminal curbside
under these conditions:
1. Terminal curbside on the Upper/Departure Level
between Terminals 1 and 2; Terminal 3 and Tom
Bradley International Terminal (TBIT); TBIT and
Terminal 4; and the east end of Terminal 7
2. Vehicles MUST be attended at all times
Broadcast-equipped media vehicles displaying a valid
LAX Media Parking permit may also park in the vendor
delivery parking areas adjacent to Parking Structures
3, 4 and 6 within the Central Terminal Area.
1. Vehicles are subject to random inspection
2. No need to have vehicles attended
All other media can park in any of the parking
structures.
