Gunnebo Interim Report January -- June 2004


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 10, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Gunnebo:

Second quarter 2004

- The order intake for the second quarter increased by 9 per cent to MSEK 1,941 (1,788); organic growth was 4 per cent.

- Invoiced sales rose by 7 per cent to MSEK 1,929 (1,810); organic growth was 1 per cent.

- The result after financial items was a profit of MSEK 95 (101).

- The profit after tax amounted to MSEK 69 (75).

- Earnings per share amounted to SEK 1.55 (1.70).

January - June 2004

- The order intake increased by 5 per cent to MSEK 3,788 (3,614); organic growth was 2 per cent.

- Invoiced sales rose by 3 per cent to MSEK 3,556 (3,450); organic growth was zero.

- The result after financial items was a profit of MSEK 116 (123).

- The profit after tax amounted to MSEK 84 (91).

- Earnings per share amounted to SEK 1.90 (2.10).

- Acquisitions of companies in Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and England with aggregate annual sales of some MSEK 520.

Forecast for 2004 as a whole

- The result after financial items for 2004 as a whole is expected to be better than in 2003.

Gunnebo is an international fast growing security group with 110 companies located in 32 countries. The Group has sales to a further hundred markets via agents and distributors. Annual turnover amounts to some MEUR 820.
