EMS Technologies' Steve Chambers Appointed to Georgia Oglethorpe Board of Directors


ATLANTA , Sept. 27, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- EMS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:ELMG) announced today that Steve Chambers, director, Corporate Administration & Technical Services, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Georgia Oglethorpe, a non-profit public-private partnership that provides organizational performance improvement assessment and recognition to Georgia's business, industry, government, education, healthcare, and non-profit organizations.

The organization's outreach efforts are based on the Criteria for Performance Excellence -- the same criteria used to determine recipients of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.

Chambers, a 24-year EMS employee, is responsible for overseeing EMS's corporate administration group, including information technology systems, facilities, security, environmental health and safety, public relations, and quality. He also is the corporate business process improvement champion with responsibility for guiding the process-improvement initiatives across the various operating business units.
