AND introduces new 2005 route planners

For years AND route planners have made it possible to quickly and easily calculate and map out driving routes, whether it be the shortest route, the cheapest one or the fastest. Enter the starting location, destination location and any stops along the way and a detailed description and easy-to-read map appears on the screen. With the AND Route 2005 Benelux and Holland route planners, it is even possible to calculate the route from door to door, simply by entering the house number.

All fifty countries of Europe
AND Route 2005 Europe is the only route planner that covers all fifty countries of Europe, not just those of Western Europe! Six million kilometres of roads have been mapped, with a total of 595,000 cities. AND Route 2005 Benelux contains 270,000 kilometres of roads and 6,600 cities. Both the map and route descriptions include the most important points of interest along the route in order to simplify navigation. The route descriptions are easy to copy, print out and e-mail.

Navigation with AND
It is possible to link a GPS (Global Positioning System) receiver to the route planners. The GPS receiver determines the current position and the route planner then continuously shows the map of the current position, thereby immediately indicating any departures from the route. The driving direction can also be shown on the map (this functionality can be activated for an additional fee).

New: Create personal overview maps
Enter the data for a location and a map appears with the address entered in the centre. This map is particularly handy for use as a street map. The zoom function lets you determine which section of the map you wish to view. You can also add your favourite locations, thanks to a clever import function. These locations can then be selected as the starting point, destination or stop, thereby allowing them to function as reference points.

System requirements and availability
AND route planners can be used on computers and laptops that meet the following requirements: PC with a Pentium processor, Windows 95/98/2000/ME/XP/NT, 32 MB internal memory, approx. 20 MB free hard disk space and CD-Rom drive. Also recommended are a printer, Internet connection and GPS receiver with the NMEA 0183 protocol.
