Sika AG, Baar, Switzerland, has acquired the concrete admixtures business of Cementa AB, Sweden.
Cementa AB is a subsidiary of the HeidelbergCement Group, Germany.
In a shift of focus HeidelbergCement is withdrawing from the concrete admixtures business.
The sale of the admixtures business of Cementa is the last in a series of similar transactions between Heidelberg Cement and Sika.
Sales of the acquired business total about SEK 18 mil. (CHF 3 mil.) per annum.
Cementa's customers will benefit from the acquisition through their access to the new technologies of Sika.
