Also included in the group of new products is the SANbox 5602, the industry's first 4Gb stackable Fibre Channel switch.

"Non SAN experts in SMBs and SAN experts in large business need products with features and pricing tailored for their specific application," said Nancy Hurley, senior analyst, Enterprise Strategy Group. "QLogic is responding with SMB products designed for low cost and ease-of-use, as well as unique enterprise class products featuring the high performance and scalability needed in the datacenter."

New Simple, Low Cost Products for Small and Medium Business

QLogic is introducing two simple, low cost products designed from the ground up for small and medium business:

-- SANsurfer Express -- A revolutionary software product that allows
HBAs, switches and disk arrays to be installed in minutes using
the simple SANsurfer Small Business SAN Wizard. The innovative
new SANsurfer Express software takes advantage of Microsoft
    Windows Server 2003

-- Virtual Disk Service. The VDS infrastructure is designed to enable
management of multi-vendor storage devices from a single user
interface on Windows, which reduces management complexity.

 -- SANbox 3050 -- An entry level 8-port 2Gb Fibre Channel Switch
featuring wizard-based installation and configuration for non SAN
    experts.

New High Performance, High Availability Products for Large Business

QLogic is introducing four high performance, high availability and highly scalable products designed from the ground up for large business:

 -- SANsurfer Management Suite Version 4 -- Multi-platform management
software for installing, monitoring, tuning, servicing and
upgrading large SANs including iSCSI HBAs, Fibre Channel HBAs and
Fibre Channel switches -- all from a single console. SANsurfer
Management Suite (SMS) Version 4 features several new capabilities
for administrators of large SANs. SMS Version 4 eliminates manual
logging of world-wide-name numbers and other important information
with automatic discovery. SMS Version 4 also allows SAN
administrators to easily update large numbers of HBAs and switches
    -- all without server reboots.

-- SANbox 5602 -- An enterprise class stackable switch with sixteen
4Gb Fibre Channel ports for superior performance, four 10Gb stack
interconnects for scalability while eliminating the cost and
complexity of inter-switch links (ISLs), and dual hot-swap power
    and cooling for high availability.

-- SANbox 3602 -- An enterprise class fixed port switch with twenty
4Gb Fibre Channel ports for superior performance and expansive
connectivity, plus dual hot-swap power and cooling for high
    availability.

-- SANbox 5202 -- An enterprise class stackable switch with sixteen
2Gb Fibre Channel ports for superior performance, four 10Gb stack
interconnects for scalability while eliminating the cost and
