WHAT: A company of 30-35 soldiers from the U.S. Army 311th COSCOM Corps Support Command (logistics) will return to Los Angeles after completing their tour of duty in Iraq. 311th COSCOM is located in West Los Angeles and Lomita. WHO: U.S. Army executive officers and 20 Army soldiers will greet returning soldiers and discharge them to an estimated 100 waiting family members and friends. Most of the soldiers are Southern California residents. WHERE: Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Terminal 1 - Baggage Claim on Lower/Arrivals Level WHEN: Thursday, November 11, 2004 (Veterans' Day) 11:25 am ETA of Southwest Airlines Flight No. 219 from El Paso, TX MEDIA PARKING: Broadcast-equipped media vehicles displaying valid LAX Media Parking Permits may park Upper/Departures Level between Terminals 1 and 2. Media vehicles must be attended at all times if parked curbside. If vehicle needs to be left unattended, broadcast-equipped vehicles may park in Vendor Delivery Lot 6.
