New Book Says America Needs a New Diet: 21st Century Patriotism

EL PASO, Texas, Dec. 21, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- America needs a diet -- a diet rich in twenty-first-century patriotism revealed in Lisa Malooly's new book Low Carb Patriotism. Beautifully written and utterly inspiring, this work offers a light and breezy examination of America through a regimen of history, facts, pop culture, and heroes. Its main aim: To get America back in shape and shape the heroes for America's future.

Low Carb Patriotism takes an introspective yet entertaining look at the United States of America. It sparks a newfound interest and love of country among a divided nation, and written as a personal journey in discovering the history and traditions of our country. "Low Carb Patriotism" is a catchphrase for the state of patriotism in America. Just as the low carb diet craze demanded instant results, we 'Low Carb Patriots' demand instant country gratification -- no blood, sweat, and tears like the founding fathers before us," says Malooly who is giving ten percent of her book's royalties to the American Cancer Society.
