HARRISBURG, Pa., Dec. 22, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Worldwide industrial services and products company Harsco Corporation (NYSE:HSC) announced today that its Harsco GasServ division's Taylor-Wharton unit will supply a substantial portion of Air Products' cryogenic gas storage vessel requirements in North America and Asia under two new supply agreements valued at approximately $15 to $20 million over their terms.
The agreements, ranging between 16 and 24 months in duration and commencing in early 2005, guarantee 70 percent of Air Products' cryogenic bulk storage tank requirements in Asia together with 70 percent of its North America requirements for microbulk cryogenic liquid cylinders. Cryogenic tanks and cylinders are used to store super-cooled, liquefied gases for a broad range of industrial, electronic, medical and other uses. The Asian requirements will be produced at Taylor-Wharton's Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia facility, while the North American requirements will be produced in the U.S. at Taylor-Wharton's Alabama plant.
