(Nasdaq:MEDW), an acknowledged leader in clinical information and patient safety software management solutions, announced today that St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri has signed a contract for HCLL(tm) Transfusion to manage their Transfusion Services.
A Mediware customer since July of 1996, the move to HCLL(tm) is a logical transition for St. John's. As a recipient of the Distinguished Hospital Award for Patient Safety(tm) HCLL's advanced patient safety tools support St. John's patient safety initiatives.
Carol Crow, Section Coordinator at St. John's Regional Medical Center said that, "Mediware's blood banking system product has allowed our transfusion staff to provide blood and blood products in a safe and efficient manner for 8 years.
