St. John's Regional Medical Center Selects Mediware Information Systems, Inc. HCLL(tm) Transfusion Service Software to Manage Transfusion Services


LENEXA, Kan., April 6, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Mediware Information Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:MEDW), an acknowledged leader in clinical information and patient safety software management solutions, announced today that St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri has signed a contract for HCLL(tm) Transfusion to manage their Transfusion Services.

A Mediware customer since July of 1996, the move to HCLL(tm) is a logical transition for St. John's. As a recipient of the Distinguished Hospital Award for Patient Safety(tm) HCLL's advanced patient safety tools support St. John's patient safety initiatives.
