PHILADELPHIA, May 11, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The 20th Annual Captain Morgan's Jam on the River 2005 will be the most musically diverse and interesting festival in its twenty-year history. Captain Morgan's Jam on the River is Philadelphia's Original Jam Band event, attracting music lovers far and wide. This fun-filled music and food festival will take place on Saturday May 28 and Sunday May 29, 2005 at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing, located between Market Street and Walnut Street along the Delaware River waterfront in Philadelphia. The official kick-off to summer in Philadelphia, this Memorial Day weekend event draws thousands of guests who return year after year, where the views of the Philadelphia waterfront are the perfect backdrop to Captain Morgan's JAM on the River.
Gates will open at 11 a.m. on Saturday May 28, opening day of Captain Morgan's Jam on the River. The line up of Saturday includes: Corn Mo, State Radio, DJ Logic, Jazz Mandolin Project, New Deal, and Soulive. The Disco Biscuits will return to Jam for a third year to take the stage on Saturday night to close the first night of the event.
On Sunday May 29, the second day and final day of the festival will feature: Vince Welnick, Particle, Brothers Past, DJ Logic, Benevento/Russo Duo, and Railroad Earth. Legendary performer Bruce Hornsby will headline Sunday to end the festival.
