I would like to inform you of Ahold's Annual General Meeting of Shareholders that will start at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 in the Lucent Danstheater, Dr. Anton Philipszaal, Spuiplein 150, 2511 DG The Hague.
Registration for media representatives will start at 9:30 a.m., for which proof of identity (press card or passport) will be required.
Please inform Ahold by replying to this e-mail or by phone (at +31 75 659 5720) no later than 3.00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2005 whether you will be attending this meeting.
A 5-minute photo session with the members of the Supervisory Board and the Corporate Executive Board will be held before the start of the meeting. In order to ensure an orderly meeting, no photographs may be taken once the meeting has started. Additionally, no live reports from the scene will be permitted once the meeting has started. That includes radio broadcasting. Please communicate this to your photo desk and/or your camera teams.
Please note that it will not be possible to enter or re-enter the shareholders' meeting after it has started. A section will be reserved for media representatives at the back of the hall. A pressroom will be available with facilities including ISDN lines for radio reporters and wire services.
