Goldnev Announces New Engineering Team


VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Goldnev Resources Inc. (TSX-V:GNZ) is pleased to announce, effective immediately, Mr. Charlie Chapman P.Eng, has been engaged as Vice President of Engineering and Operations through a unique contract arrangement with Chapman Petroleum Engineering Ltd., to manage the engineering, evaluation and production operations of the Company.

This arrangement with both Mr. Chapman and Chapman Petroleum Engineering Ltd. allows the Company to have access to the full strength of a technical staff of with over 300 years of combined experience. The Company will also hire other associated consulting firms, on an as-required basis, which will provide the Company with a full senior professional and operating staff without the associated overhead expenses of an equivalent staff of employees.

Mr. Chapman has 35 years of diversified experience in the oil and gas industry, ranging from staff and management operation positions with major and junior producers to consulting positions with major firms. For the past twenty years he has been President of Chapman Petroleum Engineering Ltd., a Calgary-based oil and gas consulting engineering and evaluation firm providing comprehensive petroleum and geological services covering the full spectrum of the oil and gas industry both domestically and internationally.

Mr. Chapman is also a co-founder and Vice President of TransAction Oil and Gas Ventures Inc., a consulting firm specializing in management of drilling projects and production operations.

As Vice President of Engineering and Operations, consultant and advisor to the Company, Mr. Chapman is committed to grow the asset base and shareholder value through smart acquisitions, careful drilling programs and well managed production operations.
