WHAT: San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) is unveiling a solar project that will be among the largest in the world when fully constructed. The innovative solar thermal arrays, which will track the sun as it moves across the sky, will be located in the Imperial Valley. The addition of this project will move SDG&E significantly closer to meeting its goal of supplying 20 percent of its customers' needs by 2010 from renewable resources like solar, wind and biomass. WHEN: Wednesday, September 7, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. WHERE: 8326 Century Park Court, in the Emergency Operations Center of SDG&E. WHO: SDG&E executives and executives from the firm that will build the project.
