Agreement with Atos Origin China extends Optio presence to world's fastest-growing economic market


ALPHARETTA, Ga., Oct. 12, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Optio(r) Software, Inc. (OTCBB:OPTO) and Atos Origin China, a subsidiary of Atos Origin, a leading global business and technology integrator, today announced that it has formed a reseller partnership. Under the terms of the agreement, Atos Origin China will provide Optio solutions and related services to blue-chip financial services, industrial and high-tech manufacturing, information technology, energy, science and life science, retail, distribution and logistics companies in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The Greater China partnership extends an existing relationship between Optio and Atos Origin subsidiaries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the United States and Singapore.

A powerful presence in Asia as one of the region's leading QAD and SAP resellers, Atos Origin China delivers information technology consulting, design, implementation and management to international and major local companies across all sectors.
