FSN Extends Commitment to Monte Carlo Millions

Legendary Monte-Carlo Casino Plays Host to Final Table

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Today FSN announced its commitment to produce the 2005 Monte Carlo Millions, the world's most exclusive poker tournament. The event will be held on November 20-23, opening at the Sporting d'Hiver and finishing at the Monte-Carlo Casino, making Monte Carlo Millions the first poker tournament showcased in this legendary venue. This exciting development in poker history will broadcast on FSN in early 2006.

The Monte Carlo Millions continues to set the highest standards for international poker. The $3 million prize pool -- the largest in European tournament history -- will be contended by 120 of the world's top professional poker players and online satellite winners. The champion will jet set home with a cool $1 million. The FSN broadcast will feature the best players in the world going all in at the most luxurious casino on earth, surrounded by the celebrity, royalty, glitz and glamour of the French Riviera.

Although Tournament Director, Matt Savage, is keeping this year's player list tightly under wraps, 2004's participants included Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Phil "Unibomber" Laak, Dave "Devilfish" Ulliot, Phil Ivey and The Hendon Mob.

"The Monte Carlo Millions is a tournament with no equal," said George Greenberg, FSN's Executive Vice President of Programming and Production. "We're thrilled to be a part of the 2004 and 2005 events and we look forward to exceptional ratings on the broadcasts."

Poker fans worldwide can watch the 2004 Monte Carlo Millions on FSN beginning on Sunday, November 6th. Check local listings for times. For more information go to www.primapoker.net.

"Monte Carlo Millions is in a class above other tournaments: a huge prize pool, great odds, and $50,000 worth of chips per player, just to get started -- it's amazing TV," said Tournament Director Matt Savage. "This is an event that separates the lucky from the skilled and attracts only the best players in the game. It's one you don't want to miss."
