Microsoft Invited Sleipner, a Calypso Wireless Subsidiary to Demonstrate the Sleipner and Calypso Seamless Mobility Software Solution at Microsoft SMAU 2005

Sleipner Presents the Complete Seamless Communication Convergence Solution Running on Microsoft Windows Mobile at Microsoft SMAU 2005

MILAN, Italy, Oct. 26, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Sleipner S.A., a Milan based, wholly owned subsidiary company of Calypso Wireless Inc (Pink Sheets:CLYW), announced today that Microsoft has invited Sleipner SA to demonstrate the Sleipner -- Calypso coMob ASNAP(tm) seamless mobility software solution at the Microsoft new technology area for Mobile Communications at the Microsoft SMAU 2005 trade show in Milan Italy.

It demonstrated the Sleipner coMob Calypso's ASNAP(tm) patented technology, seamless mobility software for Mobile Phones and PDA software running on the Calypso C1250i dual mode Wi-Fi-GPRS-GSM VoIP mobile phones. The Calypso's C1250i mobile phone, which runs on Intel PXA series application processor and Microsoft WinCE 5.0 operating system, has already been successfully demonstrated in field trials and has been demonstrated at the Microsoft booth in SMAU Milan, Italy.

Calypso's ASNAP(tm) patented technology for which it was granted U.S. Patent #6,680,923 titled "Communication system and method" (http://www.uspto.gov search U.S. patent number 6,680,923), which covers the seamless roaming of voice, video and data between Wide Area Network access points, such as cellular towers (GSM/GPRS/EDGE, CDMA, WCMDA etc.) and short-range Internet access points (such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.) is the solution to deliver seamless connectivity to mobile phones, PDA and mobile devices.

"We're very happy to have Sleipner S.A. at our Microsoft Mobile Communication booth at SMAU 2005 in Milan, Italy, demonstrating the Sleipner Calypso coMob ASNAP(tm) seamless mobility software for Mobile Phones and PDA software running on the Calypso C1250i Wi-Fi-GPRS-GSM VoIP mobile phones," declared Fabio Falzea, Mobility Business Group Director for Microsoft Italy.

"We believe in the strong opportunities that Wi-Fi broadband high speed connections will provide to mobile subscribers with many new services such as mobile real time video conferencing, document sharing and synchronization and other value added services. Convergence between cellular and Wi-Fi coverage will represent a very interesting growth opportunity for the whole mobility business in the following years," further adds Falzea.

"coMob is the first seamless mobility solution allowing mobile users to manage a cellular call (GSM/UMTS) and VoIP/Wi-Fi calls with one single interface. coMob products turn a Windows Mobile dual-mode Smart phone (with a Wi-Fi and GSM/UMTS connection) into a telephone capable of receiving and making VoIP calls in the Wi-Fi network-covered areas. In an office or in a house it behaves like a cordless telephone (an extension or a private telephone number) and it can handle office or GSM calls in areas where a wireless Wi-Fi connection is not available. When both connections are available, coMob allows managing the two types of calls with hold and unhold functions," says Bruno Motta, Vice President of Marketing of Sleipner SA.

coMob PDA features a point and click interface and is fully integrated with Pocket Outlook contacts while the phone version uses the Smart phone keyboard.

"The integration of coMob products with Calypso's ASNAP(tm) patented technology will upgrade the coMob solutions to seamless switching, enabling a new paradigm in mobile communication and seamless switching: real seamless handling of communication," further adds Bruno Motta.

coMob's parameter configuration takes place through an integrated web server which can also manage the complete dial plan and the call priorities, and giving the users web-based SMS messages remote control on the phone. coMob has been fully developed by Sleipner and is SIP protocol compliant (RFC 3261). It is based on proprietary middleware.

"We are delighted to demonstrate the Sleipner coMob and Calypso's ASNAP(tm) seamless mobility software for Mobile Phones and PDA software running on the Calypso C1250i dual mode Wi-Fi-GPRS-GSM VoIP mobile phones at the Microsoft new technology area for mobile communications. We are very excited about forging ahead with selling our products in Europe and the United States," says Mr. Michael Pizzi, Calypso Executive Vice President and General Counsel.

About Calypso Wireless, Inc.

Calypso Wireless is the company behind the ASNAP(tm) technology for which it was granted U.S. Patent #6,680,923 titled "Communication system and method" (http://www.uspto.gov search U.S. patent number 6,680,923), which covers the seamless roaming of voice, video and data between Wide Area Network access points, such as cellular towers (GSM/GPRS/EDGE, CDMA, WCMDA etc.) and short-range Internet access points (such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.).

Calypso's patented ASNAP(tm) technology will enable cellular phones to automatically detect any available Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and then seamlessly switch between the signals of a standard cellular link tower and an available short-range broadband network, such as cable or DSL with Wi-Fi, accelerating wireless broadband deployment, thereby creating a platform for revenue sharing between the synergistic companies and increased revenues for them by delivering new added services. It could also provide significant savings to mobile carriers in additional frequency spectrum and infrastructure equipment, by offloading capacity to the Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) and IP networks while providing additional sources of revenue. The integration of ASNAP(tm) technology will enable greatly enhanced services such as broadband connectivity, real time two way video conferencing, VoIP and network-based gaming applications via Calypso's cellular phones, PDA's (Personal Digital Assistance) or any mobile devise powered with the company's ASNAP(tm) technology. The patent has also given Calypso the rights to offer license agreements to major mobile and ISP carriers as well as to cellular phone manufacturers and OEM's. Calypso has also built upon its patented ASNAP(tm) technology to create a new technology that could provide 'the' solution that allows satellite radio signals from carriers such as XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio to be readily received by all types of mobile wireless devices, thus generating a new potential revenue stream for both the satellite radio companies and the companies supplying service to mobile phones and devices and the manufacturers and retailers of those devices, as well for the licensing of this technology by Calypso.

Calypso Wireless is a publicly traded company headquartered in Miami Lakes, FL. Its common stock trades under the ticker symbol CLYW. For more information about Calypso Wireless and its products and services, please visit the company's Web site at http://www.calypsowireless.com.
