Mortsel (Belgium), February 9, 2006 - Today, Agfa-Gevaert's management and social partners announced that, regarding the company's plans to sell its logistics operations (Gevaert 8) in Wilrijk (near Antwerp) to Group H. Essers, an agreement was reached which is acceptable to all parties. 73% of the involved employees and 26% of the involved labourers have declared to be willing to make the transfer to the new employer.
Agfa-Gevaert is aiming to conclude the negotiations with Group H. Essers on the take-over of Agfa-Gevaert's film consumables and equipment storage and distribution activities by the end of February
