DonHarrold.net Commentary -- April 17, 2006

Investors in Oracle (Nasdaq:ORCL) could be more worried about price than the other sorts of traders. Tech stocks like ORCL could reach new levels from current levels, but not before a further pull back, in my opinion.

Buying gold, on the other hand, will give you the peace of mind you need. Some investors believe putting your money into stocks in companies such that mine and bring to market gold is a great way to hedge your bets against a move down in ORCL.

It was said recently, "the demand for gold stocks may be too volatile to be of interest to Futures Trading professionals that like to invest in utilities stocks." Although that may be true, many investors feel that tech stocks like ORCL may rise even more slowly over the coming weeks.

You know, investors may be shocked to find out that gold traders will be rewarded with profits by investing in a company with real assets (like owning the actual metal), not by going after "pie in the sky" illusions!

I've thought recently that, "Gold sector stocks could be poised for an excellent year in 2006 led by the time-tested HUI gold-stock index."

ORCL is a stock that I believe will be bested by hard-asset companies this coming year.
