LAS VEGAS, June 6, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- InRob Tech Ltd (OTCBB:IRBL), a leader in the development and production of advanced wireless control systems and integrated solutions for unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), today announced that IMI will unveil its WAVE ASRWS -- its advanced stabilized remote-controlled weapon station based on InRob's remote control system at Eurosatory 2006.
InRob developed the proprietary remote control system for Israel Military Industries' new WAVE, remote controlled weapon station. The WAVE will be launched by IMI at Eurosatory 2006, the world's leading land and land-air defense exhibition. Over 1,100 exhibitors and 45,000 visitors from 150 countries are expected at Eurosatory.
"Exhibiting our remote control system at Eurosatory 2006 in France represents InRob's initial steps in the West European defense and homeland security market with this outstanding, reliable weapon station. The control system developed by InRob is the gunner interface, allowing operation from within the vehicle's ballistic protection. Its main components include a display unit, switch panel unit and a joystick-type hand controller. The system provides full remote control of the weapon system via on-screen menus presented on the proprietary OSD (On-Screen Display). As a result, the WAVE offers more built-in stand-alone capabilities without the need to hook-up a mission computer for critical data.
A similar weapons station, CROWS (Common Remote Operated Weapon Station) is already in use by the U.S. Air Force in Iraq. CROWS is a stabilized gunner-operated weapon system, which allows the gunner to engage targets from inside a moving vehicle.
Inauguration Ceremony of the Israel Pavilion will be held at Eurosatory, on Monday, June 12, 2006. IMI will exhibit at Hall 6, F39.
