LOS ANGELES, June 20, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Eurocinema(sm), the first and only branded on-demand video service featuring award-winning European theatrical films, has reached a major industry milestone, hitting the 10 million subscriber mark this June, making the service available in major city centers throughout North America.

Since launching as a fully branded on-demand service in Fall 2005, Eurocinema(sm) has experienced dramatic growth with the additions of new affiliates monthly, and can now be found in over 150 markets across the U.S. on Adelphia, Charter, Time Warner, Mediacom, Bresnan Communications, Buckeye Communications, and Atlantic Broadband, as well as on Shaw Communications in Canada.

Offering a robust selection of award-winning foreign films each month, Eurocinema(sm) appeals to the under served audience -- fans of foreign films who have limited access or opportunities to view them. Eurocinema(sm) features works by legendary directors and gems of the international film world that have never before been seen in North America, including a diverse selection of quality international theatrical films, both mainstream studio titles and independent productions. Each feature film serves as the centerpiece of a two-hour hosted thematic programming block designed to provide perspective on the main theme, with supplemental content such as host commentary, original documentaries, director interviews, as well as rarely seen short-format films relevant to the feature.

"There is clearly a desire for our content among TV viewers throughout North America," said Movietime/E! founder Larry Namer, who joined Eurocinema(sm) earlier this year as a primary advisor for North American operations. "We're pleased to feed the appetite of those passionate about foreign films by offering quality European films on demand, easily and economically. As the interest in foreign film and celebrity continues to escalate, Eurocinema(sm) is poised for even more growth over the next year."

Each month, Eurocinema(sm) offers a selection of two-hour themed blocks available at $3.95 each.

Currently available are such premier, award-winning titles boasting international star power, including "Kaputt Mundi" starring Monica Bellucci, Andrei Tarkovsky's classic "Nostalgia," and 2002 Cannes Film Festival Award Winner "My Mother's Smile."

This summer Eurocinema(sm) will debut the Spanish film "Amantes," winner of 11 international film awards, directed by Vicente Aranda and starring Spain's most beloved actress Victoria Abril, who won best actress for her work at the Berlin Film Festival. Also on Eurocinema(sm) this summer are "Souli," the 2005 Paris Film Festival nominated film directed by Alexander Abela and starring Eduardo Noriega (Che Guevara), and "Tirana, Year Zero," the Albanian/German co-production, winner of the Thessalonika and Cologne Film Festivals.

Eurocinema(sm) also launched a new consumer website at www.eurocinema.com, offering film clips, exclusive content and information on what's available each month. Eurocinema(sm) is a Video-On-Demand service offering fans of global cinema access to feature movies otherwise unavailable to them and providing foreign film makers unprecedented visibility in front of North American viewers and the Hollywood creative community. Eurocinema(sm) is available on over 50 cable TV systems serving 10 million subscribers, with new systems being added monthly. Eurocinema(sm) is a service mark of EuroMedia Holdings Corp., a public company soon to be listed for trading. www.eurocinema.com.
