Mr Walter Guenter has been appointed as Executive Vice President, Europe Rigid Packaging, as of September 1, 2006, succeeding Mr Timo Salonen. Most recently Mr Guenter has lead the Europe Flexibles, Films and Molded Fiber organization for an interim period, handing over his responsibilities to Mr Maurice Petitjean, who as earlier announced, joins Huhtamaki on September 1. Mr Guenter has a long Huhtamaki experience and strong technology and business background in Films and Flexibles as well as Rigid Business areas.
The Huhtamaki Group will strengthen its Strategy and Business Development function and has appointed Mr Timo Salonen as Executive Vice President, Strategy Development as of September 1, 2006. Mr Salonen has a long experience in Huhtamaki in both business and functional roles. Most recently he has lead the Europe Rigid Packaging business for 3 years, before which he was the CFO for the Group.
Both Mr Guenter and Mr Salonen will continue to be members of the Group Executive Team reporting to CEO Heikki Takanen.
