The Debt Office has found an error in the proposed guidelines for the overall management of central government debt that we presented last week. The error concerns the comprehensive maturity benchmarks.
The correct benchmarks are 4.7 years 2007, 4.6 years 2008, and 4.4 years 2009.
The preliminary maturity benchmarks for the different types of debt, which are also presented in the report, and which the comprehensive maturity benchmarks are based on, are correct. The error occurred when they were added together.
The Debt Office apologizes for the mistake. We have now the correct version on rgk.se.
