Christine Munson to Manage Corporate Lending for First Tennessee


MEMPHIS, Tenn., Oct. 11, 2006 (PRIMEZONE) -- Christine Munson has been selected to manage corporate lending for First Tennessee's banking efforts across the country as executive vice president and manager of the corporate financial services group. Munson has spent virtually her entire 25-year banking career with First Tennessee.

Her latest responsibilities include commercial lending for small, middle and large markets, asset-based lending and commercial real estate. She also is leading the bank's effort to expand its middle market lending groups into targeted new geographic markets. Munson already has led this expansion into Atlanta; Dallas; Houston; Orlando, Fla.; and Winston-Salem and Raleigh, N.C. Munson's groups have responsibility for more than $3 billion in loans and $1 billion in deposits.

Munson earned her B.A. in economics and finance from the University of Memphis and is a graduate of Leadership Memphis. She has been active on boards of numerous community groups including the Center City Development Corp., the YMCA, Shelby Residential and Vocational Services, Leadership Memphis, the Memphis Defense Depot Redevelopment Board, the Memphis and Shelby County Sports Development Corp. and the Main Street Redevelopment Committee. Munson was named a Paul Harris Fellow by the Downtown Rotary Club where she is a member and participates in the Rotary Readers program.
