ABILENE, Kan., Dec. 4, 2006 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Duckwall-ALCO Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq:DUCK) announced today that Phillip Hixon has joined the company as Vice President of Store Development.
Hixon comes to Duckwall-ALCO Stores with nearly 30 years of retail and management experience. He most recently spent 18 years with Michaels Stores as Vice President of Store Planning and Development. In his new role, Hixon will be responsible for new store openings, fixture planning and acquisition, as well as merchandise planograms. Hixon will report to Rick Sturdivant, Senior Vice President of Stores.
