Wisconsin Native to Open Marco's Pizza Weston, Represents the Sixth State for 28-Year-Old Chain

WESTON, WI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 11, 2007 -- Marco's Pizza, home of the Ah! Thentic Italian Pizza and founded 27 years ago in Toledo, OH, announced that Wisconsin native Mike Reynolds will open a Marco's Pizza at 3910 Schofield, Weston, near Wausau. The Wisconsin unit represents the sixth state for Marco's.

Jack Butorac, Jr., president of Marco's Franchising, LLC, the franchising arm for Marco's, announced the expansion.

Founded by Italian native Pasquale "Pat" Giammarco, who used many of his family recipes in the menu, Marco's has been put on a growth curve by Butorac and his team of franchise development specialists, with a goal of 500 units by 2010. There are currently 150 restaurants in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Nevada and Arizona. The company expects to be in 10 states by the end of 2007.

Reynolds, who was born in West Bend, north of Milwaukee, has lived in the Wausau area for the last 15 years serving as a sales specialist in office equipment and construction. He also spent 17 years in restaurant management for Burger King, Bonanza and Arby's restaurants.

"I have been looking at a variety of franchise concepts for the last couple of years," Reynolds said, "and a mutual friend introduced me to the Marco's team, and they have a good product and concept."

According to Reynolds, the new unit in Weston will offer seven day carryout, delivery and sit-down service with the Marco's menu of custom made Ah! Thentic Italian pizzas, fresh baked subs, salads, chicken wings and soft drinks. Reynolds expects the new strip mall location to be open in early 2007.
