Ruukki Group Plc Stock Exchange release 15 January at 15:00 p.m. RUUKKI GROUP CARE SERVICES SEGMENT OPERATIONS GROWING Ruukki Group care services business segment (Mikeva) will open four new care units during the first quarter of 2007 resulting in 80 new customer beds to be added in segments total customer bed volume. Due to these new units the relative share of elderly people care units will increase. Mikeva companies have been successful in winning public sector bidding processes for these services. From the beginning of 2007 new units have been opened in Kuusamo, Huittinen and Muhos. Kuusamo elderly people care unit has 15 customer beds in the beginning; by the end of 2009 it is agreed that the unit will be enlargened to accommodate totally 45 customers. Muhos unit has been enlargened by two elderly people care units: one for 16 customer beds and the other for 19 customer beds. In Huittinen Mikeva has a new 15-bed care unit. Kokkola operations will be enlargened in February or March by 13 to 15 customer beds. Mikeva care units provide elderly people with individual, homelike, secure, active and calm way of living within a small community. All customers have 24-hour care provided by Mikeva personnel. These new care units will increase segments annual revenue by roughly 1.5 million euros.
