Metso, Finnair and Lännen Tehtaat winners in Company Disclosure and Financial
Reports 2006 evaluation

Metso Oyj won the category for Large Cap companies in the Company Disclosure and
Financial Reports 2006 evaluation. Finnair Plc was best in the category for Mid
Cap companies. The winner among the Small Cap companies was Lännen Tehtaat Plc.
Other recognized companies were Sampo Oyj, Outokumpu Oyj, Lassila&Tikanoja Plc,
Aspo Plc, Incap Corporation and Okmetic Oyj.

The Company Disclosure and Financial Reports evaluation, organized by the
Helsinki Stock Exchange and the Helsingin Sanomat newspaper, evaluated the
financial reports and stock exchange disclosures of listed companies, especially
from the viewpoint of investors. The contest aims to promote open and consistent
disclosure of information and to enhance the quality of communication. The
evaluation categories in 2006 were divided into Large Cap, Mid Cap and Small Cap
companies. This follows the segments on the Nordic Exchange.

Forty-four listed companies participated in the 2006 contest, eighteen in the
Large Cap category, fifteen in the Mid Cap category and thirteen in the Small Cap
category.

Large Cap companies

Metso won the Large Cap category. The company excelled in all areas evaluated.
Metso reported especially well on its strategy, market position and competitive
situation. The report on sustainable development also stood out. The most
significant improvement compared to last year's competition was in the regular
and ongoing disclosure of information, where the reporting of received orders can
be highlighted as a good example of the latter.

Sampo came second in this category. The company's reporting was, taken as a
whole, clear and extensive and, from time to time, it even surprised the reader
with the richness of the information provided. As an example of its strengths,
the description of acquisitions and the presentation of financial instruments
were remarkably good.

Outokumpu was ranked third in this category. The company's segment reporting
continues to be exemplary, both extensive and clear. Profit risk factors were
also well reported. Issues related to management remuneration were described
appropriately.

Mid Cap companies

Finnair won this category. Finnair excelled in all areas evaluated, with segment
reporting as one of its strongest areas. Other strengths included extensive
representation of business risks and financial reporting.

Second in the Mid Cap category was Lassila & Tikanoja. The company's annual
report was, once again, easy to read and extensive. Among the company's many
strengths can be mentioned clear descriptions regarding corporate governance and
the company's share and ownership information.

Aspo took third place in this category. Aspo's annual report serves the reader
with its ease of use and clear industry descriptions. Other strengths included
clear descriptions on acquisitions and the transparency of management
remuneration.

Small Cap companies

The winner of the Small Cap category was Lännen Tehtaat who was very successful
in all aspects of the evaluation. Especially good were the clear descriptions on
acquisitions and the basis of depreciations.

Incap was ranked second. The company's corporate governance reporting was one of
the best in the category. Other examples of the company's strengths included good
business and strategy descriptions.

Third in the category was Okmetic. Okmetic also succeeded well in corporate
governance reporting. In addition to this, the regular and ongoing disclosure of
information was very good.

Evaluation Board

The Chairman of the Board for this year's evaluation was Professor Pontus Troberg
(Helsinki School of Economics). The other Board members included: Portfolio
Manager Hannu Angervuo (Fides Asset Management Oy), Managing Director Klaus
Grönbärj (Hartwall Capital Oy Ab), Managing Director Timo Löyttyniemi (The State
Pension Fund), Senior Advisor Päivi Räty (Confederation of Finnish Industries),
Head of the Financial Editorial Team Teija Sutinen (Helsingin Sanomat) and
President Jouni Torasvirta (Helsinki Stock Exchange).

"The differences between the top three companies in all competition categories
were not that significant, but it is worthwhile noting that Metso placed clearly
as number one in the Large Cap category. The transfer to mandatory application of
IFRS is obviously reflected in the financial reporting for 2005 and 2006.
Reporting of business acquisitions and the consequential allocation of purchase
price to both tangible and intangible assets is satisfactory. Segment reporting
is, however, deficient in many companies. Disclosure of management remuneration
is not up to standard in all companies. The division of the CEO's remuneration
into salary and bonuses should be made clearer," says professor Pontus Troberg,
Chairman of the competition board.
