Allot Helps True Internet Thailand Deliver Consistent, High Quality Internet Experience for Growing Base of Tiered Services Customers

Allot NetEnforcer Helps Maintain Quality of Service Through Application Prioritization

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 5, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Allot Communications (Nasdaq:ALLT), a leader in IP service optimization solutions based on deep packet inspection (DPI), has announced that True Internet, a subsidiary of Thailand's True Corporation Plc, and one of the fastest growing ISP's in Asia, has chosen the Allot NetEnforcer AC-1020 and AC-2540 broadband management device to optimize delivery of broadband services to its more than 400,000 business and residential customers. True Internet Thailand is also using Allot's Subscriber Management Platform (SMP) for in-depth insight into broadband subscriber behaviors and usage trends to help determine which services subscribers are using most often. With this insight, True Internet can tailor service packages to customers based on their usage and preferences.

Recently, True Internet introduced its "High-Speed Internet-Unlimited" services package, allowing residential and corporate subscribers to access downstream Internet speeds of up to 4096 Kbps and upstream speeds up to 512 Kbps. The company was quickly overwhelmed by the popularity of the package and demand for bandwidth increased dramatically.

To guarantee a high quality experience for every user in light of the surge in demand for bandwidth, the company needed to be able to identify and manage the applications traversing the network. Using NetEnforcer, True Internet administrators are now able to allocate sufficient as-needed bandwidth for regular applications such as Web and e-mail. They can also manage the amount of bandwidth allocated to high bandwidth applications, allowing subscribers to continue using these applications without degrading network service quality.

Using the Allot SMP, True Internet Thailand monitors subscriber behavior to identify, track and report short- or long-term usage trends, allowing them to roll out new or packaged services based on individual subscriber demand and preferred delivery.

Customizable Services

True Internet administrators are able to create and deliver tiered service level agreements (SLAs) giving subscribers the ability to choose customized service packages designed to meet their specific online needs.

"NetEnforcer's precise bandwidth control allows us to offer a truly affordable ADSL plan and to ensure that customer satisfaction exceeds 80 percent. We are adding more than 10,000 new subscribers each week and our business has more than doubled," says Dr. Viriya Upatising, Chief Technical Officer of True Internet.

"Since the large corporate sector, mainly multinational corporations, governmental accounts and the education sector, consider service level agreements and bandwidth guarantees as key concerns, we are confident that with NetEnforcer, True Internet can effectively deliver services for this segment," he added.

Service providers in areas with such a high rate of Internet penetration, such as Thailand, are continuously challenged to offer subscribers the highest quality of service, while maintaining a reasonable profit margin.

"NetEnforcer provides True Internet with per-application, per-subscriber visibility of the network to prioritize applications and control delivery according to policies they can set and enforce dynamically. This real-time functionality is key to being able to expand into new markets, such as the large corporate sector, and deliver a high quality, consistent experience," said Rami Hadar, president and CEO, Allot Communications.
