SEVERAL EXITS IN AMANDAS PORTFOLIO
- Rodenstock and Grand Navi Veloci were sold to other private
equity companies
- HemoCue was sold to Quest Diagnostics
There have been several exits in Amandas portfolio. The exits
together generate a cash flow of over one million euros for Amanda.
All the exits are profitable.
Permira Europe II private equity fund has sold its stake in
Rodenstock GmbH. Rodenstock is a leading manufacturer of lenses and
frames in Germany. The company has production facilities for lenses
in 10 countries and sales branches and distribution partners in over
80 countries. In addition Permira Europe II has sold its remaining
stake in Premiere AG. The company was listed on Frankfurt Stock
Exchange in March 2005. The exits are due to be accounted in Amandas
result during the first quarter in 2007.
Permira Europe III private equity fund has sold its stake in Grand
Navi Veloci S.p.A. to other private equity investors. The company
operates in the ferry market linking the Italian mainland to Sardinia
and Sicily. The exit will be accounted in Amandas result during the
first quarter in 2007.
PAI Europe IV private equity fund has arranged a recapitalization in
its target company, Chr. Hansen. The transaction generated proceeds
to Amanda, which were accounted in Amandas result in the last
quarter in 2006.
EQT II private equity fund has sold its stake in HemoCue to Quest
Diagnostics. HemoCue is a leading player in the development,
manufacturing and marketing of professional point-of-care diagnostics
systems. The company has annual sales of approximately USD 90
million. The exit is due to be accounted in Amandas result in the
first quarter in 2007.
