SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 6, 2007 -- Identity Engines, a leading provider of network-based identity management solutions, today unveiled Ignition Guest Manager 3.3, that delivers secure, auditable campus-wide network access to enterprises, educational institutions, health care facilities, and other organizations. With Ignition Guest Manager, organizations can comply with appropriate regulatory requirements and reduce security risks by maintaining complete control over who accesses which network services, where access is granted, and how long the access should last. Enhancements in Version 3.3 include self-provisioning to reduce costly IT involvement in day-to-day guest access management, SMS integration for increased security, support for credit card transactions, and improved workflow.

Organizations are under increasing pressure to tightly control and monitor network access. Publicly held companies must satisfy the Sarbanes-Oxley 404 provision requiring adequate internal controls, while educational institutions must satisfy the Communications Assistance for Law Enforcement Act (CALEA), which requires them to authenticate network access for constituent groups and be able to report on who has accessed their networks. Ignition Guest Manager 3.3 helps these organizations meet their security and regulatory requirements while also shifting administrative responsibility for secure guest access management from IT to the departments or individuals who actually invite or interact with the guests.

New in Version 3.3

Self-Provisioning -- Ignition Guest Manager now offers organizations the ability to have guests provision their own wireless access at a kiosk or online portal. This cost-saving feature allows conference attendees or school visitors to obtain secure, authenticated access when and where they need it without requiring the participation of administrative staff. The system can be configured for complete security and audit tracking, and Guest Manager can host multiple self-provisioning kiosks simultaneously, each with different privileges, such as access zones and duration, and each can offer different display characteristics and branding.

SMS Integration -- With SMS integration, organizations can link access to a guest's cell phone. When a visitor registers at a kiosk or online portal, Ignition Guest Manager 3.3 automatically sends a password to the visitor's cell phone or other mobile device. This improves security by creating a hard-to-spoof identifier, ensuring no one sees the password except the visitor, and automatically creating an auditable link between the visitor and the network. SMS integration supports most common carriers, including AT&T/Cingular, Verizon, Sprint/Nextel, and T-Mobile.

Credit Card Payment -- Ignition Guest Manager 3.3 now offers organizations the ability to provide automated credit payment for wireless network access without requiring staff involvement. Schools, hospitals, and government agencies can use this feature to generate revenue by automating secure, fee-based wireless access to their networks.

Improved Workflow -- The Ignition Guest Manager 3.3 workflow has been optimized to make it easier to rapidly add hundreds or thousands of guests quickly, securely and without IT department intervention.

"While the education market continues rapid adoption of Ignition Guest Manager to ensure secure access and regulatory compliance, our new options for automating and tracking guest access make Guest Manager 3.3 a high-value solution for any organization that would like to offer temporary but secure and auditable access to Internet services," said Identity Engines CEO Pete Selda. "Ignition Guest Manager offers the next level of experience -- secure, automated access to private networks and the ability to charge for that access."
