Gentex Exterior Auto-Dimming Mirrors Are Standard on the New Lexus LS 460

ZEELAND, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 13, 2007 -- Gentex Corporation (NASDAQ: GNTX), the leading supplier of automatic-dimming rearview mirrors, announced today that the 2007 Lexus LS 460 offers the Company's exterior auto-dimming mirrors as standard equipment.

The Lexus LS 460 luxury sedan is sold globally. Models sold in Europe, Korea, China, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and for general export from Japan, offer the Gentex exterior driver- and passenger-side auto-dimming mirrors as standard features on both trim levels. The mirrors darken automatically in response to the headlamp glare of rearward-approaching vehicles.

"Over the past few years, Toyota Motor Corp has grown to become one of the Company's largest customers," said Senior Vice President Enoch Jen. "Automakers are increasingly recognizing the benefits of exterior auto-dimming mirrors for glare elimination, and inclusion of Gentex exterior mirrors on the Lexus LS 460 as standard equipment is an important, strategic piece of business for us."

Founded in 1974, Gentex Corporation (NASDAQ: GNTX) is an international company that provides high-quality products to the worldwide automotive industry and North American fire protection market. Based in Zeeland, Michigan, the Company develops, manufactures and markets interior and exterior automatic-dimming automotive rearview mirrors that utilize proprietary electrochromic technology to dim in proportion to the amount of headlight glare from trailing vehicle headlamps.
