Toyota Upgrades Features and Increases Auto-Dimming Mirror Availability on 2007 Tundra

ZEELAND, MI -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 15, 2007 -- Gentex Corporation (NASDAQ: GNTX), the leading supplier of automatic-dimming rearview mirrors to the worldwide automotive industry, has announced that it is shipping a three-mirror, automatic-dimming system for the 2007 Toyota Tundra.

Gentex auto-dimming mirrors automatically darken to reduce glare from the headlamps of vehicles approaching from the rear. The brighter the glare, the darker the mirrors become, making nighttime driving safer.

The full size pick-up will be sold throughout the U.S. and Canada beginning in early 2007. The interior auto-dimming mirror features compass, Homelink® and amber mood lighting. The driver- and passenger-side exterior auto-dimming mirrors have integrated through-the-glass turn signals for added safety. The HomeLink® Wireless Control System is produced by Johnson Controls. Three buttons conveniently located on the face of the mirror can be programmed to operate garage doors, estate gates, security systems, home lighting, and other radio frequency controlled devices.
