GenTek Inc. Announces Completion of the Sale of Its Noma Wire and Cable Assembly Business


PARSIPPANY, N.J., Feb. 16, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- GenTek Inc. (Nasdaq:GETI) announced today that it has completed the previously announced sale of its Noma Wire and Cable Assembly Business to Electrical Components International Holdings Company of St. Louis, Missouri. This transaction includes all of the current Noma Wire Harness facilities in Mexico, Canada, India and the U.S., with the exception of Concord, Canada and Nogales, Mexico, which GenTek is planning to sell in separate transactions. The transaction does not include the CableTech-Global business located in Mineral Wells, Texas. CableTech-Global was formerly known as Noma CableTech.

The purchase price of the transaction is $75 million cash, plus a working capital adjustment.

Commenting on the sale, William E.
