PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 26, 2007 -- ITonis is extremely pleased to
announce that the shares in its common stock are now listed for trading on
the NASD OTCBB with the symbol (OTCBB : ITNS ).
ITonis is a Prague-based developer of cutting edge Video on Demand and
Television over IP (IPTV) solutions. ITonis has developed a true Video over
IP solution for video content owners and video content distributors that
would enable the viewer to see his favorite national or local TV programs
from anywhere in the world at his own leisure, either through a set-top box
connected to his TV or through a computer. The solution provides
semi-real-time IPTV services accompanied with Video on Demand (VoD). VoD
opens new distributions channels for movies and series before they've been
aired on the conventional channels. The viewer can also use the service as
a Virtual Video Recorder. Finally, TV in the Past allows the viewer to see
previously aired shows, programs, series and movies whenever he wants to.
ITonis' solution is aimed at for instance Telcos, Internet Service
Providers (ISPs) and broadcasting companies as an end-to-end turn-key
IPTV/VoD solution. ITonis can also provide an outsourced service for video
content owners and distributors. Clients with smaller deployments can also
benefit from ITonis' offering, through flexible platform scaling.
MRG research forecasts that the global number of IPTV subscribers will grow
from 2.1 Million in 2004 to 27 Millions in 2008, with estimated global
revenues from such services exceeding US$15 billion in 2008.
ITonis' solution allows new players such as Telcos and ISPs to tap into a
huge Pay TV market, which according to IDC is a market worth more than
US$55 billion in the US alone (in 2004). With activities in Europe, the US
and China, ITonis is positioning itself in key markets. ITonis' listing is
an important milestone for the company to secure the means necessary for
the implementation of its aggressive sales strategy into those markets.
With its superior solution, ITonis positioned to gain a substantial share
of this rapidly growing market.
Thanks to its aggressive approach, ITonis has live working demos in
Finland, Spain, Czech Republic and China. This was the next logical step
once ITonis product was completed and tested. ITonis is now looking at
developing its partnership and distribution agreements to quickly secure
some key customers in Europe. ITonis will then expand its focus to the
American and Chinese market where it already started to build partnership.
ITonis has already reached its target revenue for the first quarter of 2007
and expects to exceed its 2007 revenue estimate of US$320,000, reflecting
anticipated deployments and launches. During that time, ITonis will use
its R&D capability to launch new services and transform the TV set into a
complete entertainment system offering video, music, web browsing, gaming,
gambling, shopping, messaging services and all sorts of entertainment.
ITonis will enable its customers to offer a whole range of revenue
generating services straight to the comfort of the living room, to finally
bring the Internet applications to the masses, to a terminal well known:
the good old TV set!
Nicolas Lavaud, ITonis' President, comments: "At ITonis, we're all very
excited! We have worked long and hard to achieve a public listing of
ITonis. Now completed, ITonis will focus on growing its business both
organically and through strategic acquisitions of companies with
complementary technologies. Additionally, we plan to strengthen our
management team so we can cement our already strong global distribution
network, and pursue an aggressive sales and marketing strategy for the
rapidly growing U.S. and European markets. We have what we believe is an
excellent product portfolio and we are working diligently on the
development and introduction of additional and complementary product
offerings in the months ahead. I believe that ITonis has the potential to
grow further through expansions and acquisitions of compatible technologies
that will, if completed, position us as market leaders within IPTV and VoD
solutions. We're in the best possible position to exploit this rapidly
growing market. The prospects simply couldn't be better."
