Clean Power Technologies, Inc. Gains Interest From Two Chinese Envoys

CALGARY, Alberta, March 20, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Clean Power Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:CPWE) (Frankfurt:XETRA:C1L) (http://www.cleanpowertech.co.uk), a developer of a unique and environmentally friendly alternative hybrid power technology, has gained interest from two separate envoys from China.

On March 13, 2007 two delegates from China, each representing separate entities, visited the Clean Power facility in Newhaven, East Sussex, England. Both were given a guided tour through Clean Power's development facility. The representatives viewed Clean Power's state-of-the-art facility, which is completely outfitted with full computational support with Computer Aided Design 3D Modeling software and a fully automated Engine Test Dynamometer. Clean Power anticipates that implementation of the planned hybridized Mazda RX8 vehicle will be complete by the fall of 2007, with test drives and real road usage to follow.

The interest in Clean Power's technology from Chinese business interests has been increased recently due to the Chinese government's statements indicating its intentions to promote "green" autos. China is aggressively pursuing policies to solve the emission problems which are plaguing its towns and cities. Earlier this month the Chinese government published a draft regulation on managing the production of alternative energy vehicles and called for suggestions and comments in order to implement regulations on the production of autos fueled by alternative energies, with the goal of encouraging research, leading to the production of environmentally friendly "green" vehicles.

"Both representatives showed keen interest in Clean Power's hybrid development program. The delegates expressed strong interest in this technology and indicated their desire to explore future collaborations and business opportunities with Clean Power," stated Mr. Abdul Mitha, President/CEO of Clean Power.

Clean Power considers China to be very important indeed and potentially a key market for their technology. China has the fastest growing auto manufacturing sector in the world and is also proactively addressing issues relating to their oil dependency problems. Its emission and atmospheric pollution problems are well known. The Chinese government has taken strong initiatives in recent years to clean up its environmental and emission related problems. Mr. Mitha further stated, "Clean Power is confident that its hybrid power technologies will make an impressive contribution to solving these problems on a worldwide scale. We are encouraged by the level of interest and commitments shown by our Chinese guests and we are proud to receive such strong support from them. We look forward to continuing our informal exploratory discussions in the coming months as we move forward with our development plan."
