TeraRecon Appoints Jeff Sorenson as Vice President of Aquarius Sales, USA and Canada

SAN MATEO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 23, 2007 -- TeraRecon (www.terarecon.com), a leader in advanced imaging processing technology and advanced 3D visualization solutions, today announced the promotion of Jeffrey Sorenson to the position of Vice President of Aquarius Sales, USA and Canada, effective April 4th, 2007.

Robert Taylor, chief operating officer and executive vice president, said, "Jeff joined TeraRecon as Aquarius Zone Sales Manager for the midwest zone in September 2004, and he quickly demonstrated his ability to manage the sales team and to drive sales with his unbounded energy and enthusiasm to communicate a clear and compelling message about the benefits of TeraRecon's solutions and technologies. From here, Jeff was promoted to Director of Aquarius Sales and Business Development, US and Canada in January 2006, taking responsibility for management of the whole Aquarius sales team for the US and Canada. Jeff demonstrated his ability to manage well even through challenging environments as the Deficit Reduction Act was signed by President Bush in February 2006, causing confusion and concern in the US medical imaging market. Despite this, Jeff delivered multiple quarters of strong consecutive growth and a record sales result in 2006 with growth exceeding 50% vs. the 2005 sales result."

Motoaki Saito, president and chief executive officer, said, "Jeff has demonstrated that despite his incredible drive, he knows that a team is greater than the sum of its parts, and he has won the respect of his colleagues at TeraRecon over the past year in the way he has developed relationships throughout the company between his sales organization and other departments. With this in mind, we are pleased to welcome Jeff onto the executive management team and look forward to working with him to take the Aquarius business to new heights."
