John the Baptist and Jesus in the Way We've Never Seen Them Before

Author Keith Ouzts Presents a Fun and Realistic Portrayal of John and Jesus as Young Boys Before Their Adult Ministries

HAVELOCK, N.C., May 1, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Have you ever wondered how Biblical characters acted when they were young? Join author Keith Ouzts as he explores a fun freewheeling look at the boyhood of two famous cousins in ancient Palestine, Manny and John, better known as the adults John the Baptist and Emmanuel (Manny) -- Jesus Christ the Messiah.

Before John stood in the Jordan baptizing "all of Jerusalem," and Manny entered his adult ministry as Jesus Christ, the author imagines them to be a pair of regular boys who probably did what most boys at the age of 13 would do in Palestine. They would have wrestled, climbed trees, threw rocks and tumbled into wild experiences in and around Nazareth. Manny and John is an honest story - in addition to adventures and a sense of fun, there is sorrow, regret and pain. Seeking to be as realistic as possible in the portrayal of Jesus as a boy, Ouzts researched the times and societies for authenticity of the story. The daily life and social mores of Nazareth are documented with true accuracy and as a historical novel; this book relates a first-class tale in a well-written and well-received fashion.

The author has deftly blended a fascination with Jesus Christ, Biblical history and boyhood into a compelling, thought-provoking story. He manages to walk the fine line between reverence and reality in describing some of the adventures of the two boys - adventures that would have an impact on their adult ministries. Full of enjoyable escapades and theological insight; Manny and John is a loveable, intriguing, and often laugh-out-loud funny book that anyone will enjoy. Grab a copy today!
