LogMeIn Wins New England Innovation Award

Woburn Firm Recognized by the Smaller Business Association of New England

WALTHAM, Mass., May 21, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Smaller Business Association of New England (SBANE) announced that LogMeIn, Inc. of Woburn has won the 2007 New England Innovation Award. The award was presented to LogMeIn, as well as six other companies, on May 16 at the Westin Hotel in Waltham, Massachusetts.

In less than three years since launching LogMeIn Free -- the first commercially-supported, free, web-based remote access service -- the company has come to dominate the remote access industry with the size of its global user base, and has moved onto the broader challenge of serving connectivity, digital living and the small business computer and device support markets. LogMeIn has nearly 20 million users worldwide and is growing by close to two million more each month.

"LogMeIn exemplifies the true spirit of innovation. It is not only on the cutting edge, it also fills a real business need. Our team of judges was unanimously impressed," said Bob Baker, executive director, SBANE.

"It is an honor to be chosen by SBANE as it acknowledges both the value we offer customers and the successful business we have built here in Greater Boston," said Michael Simon, CEO of LogMeIn. "We believe in practicing what we preach: that technology really does improve productivity while ensuring that people can access that technology and their entire digital life in an easy, cost-effective and secure manner."

More than 170 companies, representing the widest possible array of product and service offerings, were nominated for this year's New England Innovation Awards. Other 2007 winners include: Acumentrics of Westwood; Ahura Scientific, Inc. of Wilmington; Eliza Corporation of Beverly; NeuroLogica Corporation of Danvers; SupplyScape Corporation of Woburn; and Volicon, Inc. of Burlington, Mass. A special first-ever Chairman's Innovation Award was also presented to Raytheon's Integrated Defense division.

Through its New England Innovation Awards Program, established in 1986, SBANE has recognized more than 100 companies that demonstrate superior creativity and perseverance, successfully transforming innovative concepts into valuable products and services.

SBANE has the distinction of being among the first to honor such now-familiar names as Staples, Genzyme, Ben & Jerry's, Security Dynamics, Direct Tire, Nantucket Nectars, Imagitas, Taggies and iRobot.
