As a result of very high stainless steel prices and the weak US Dollar, the price for these two optional ships has increased substantially compared to the other eight ships in the series. We have therefore decided to let the options expire.
Odfjell is very satisfied with the performance and workmanship of the seven ships in the series that has been delivered. The last ship is scheduled to be delivered to us around 22 June 2007.
Odfjell currently has a newbuilding program of twenty ships for own account, or on long term time-charter with purchase options. In addition our partners will bring four new ships into our fleet.
