Cisco and Scientific Atlanta to Showcase 'The Connected Life' at NXTcomm 2007

SAN JOSE, CA and ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - June 14, 2007) - Cisco® (NASDAQ: CSCO) and Scientific Atlanta, a Cisco company, today announced planned demonstrations for NXTcomm 2007 that showcase the continued momentum and execution of the Cisco IP Next-Generation Network (IP NGN) architecture, and the innovative technologies that enable service providers to deliver unique "Connected Life" experiences to subscribers.

The technologies of Cisco and Scientific Atlanta enable service providers to take advantage of an open standards-based IP NGN platform to deliver a myriad of integrated and differentiated services. This means more network design freedom and flexibility for service providers. It also creates expanded content choices, enhanced navigation and greater service personalization for consumers.

The Cisco IP NGN helps enable service providers to deliver unique "Connected Life" experiences by integrating voice, video and data and mobility to create unique anyplay service offerings. With Cisco as a partner, service providers can offer residential and business customers differentiated, customizable services at home, at work or on the move. The ability to deliver these personalized experiences anywhere, anytime, and to virtually any device creates a host of new Connected Life opportunities for accelerated service provider growth and enhanced customer satisfaction.

"Today's technologies are revolutionizing the communications universe, giving people the power to communicate in ways that didn't even exist just a few short years ago," said Jeff Spagnola, vice president, Service Provider Marketing, Cisco. "Service providers are on the cusp of opportunity to harness the power to bring information and entertainment to their customers across one platform. Not only does this create enhanced services and new revenue streams, but it also gives consumers the ultimate personalized experience."

At NXTcomm 2007 booth 4851, service providers will experience the possibilities that they can deliver to their customers. For experiences "At Home," providers can see how Video 2.0 can enrich their media service offerings through Cisco's IPTV end-to-end solutions. Integrated middleware applications will be shown, as well as a comprehensive portfolio of IP set-tops, from compact digital-only to high-definition, to digital video recorder and multistream gateway, to IP over coax bridge. To showcase the possibilities of the Connected Life "At Work," Cisco TelePresence will also be demonstrated, showing service providers how they can take advantage of their IP networks to transform the way their business customers work and collaborate. Demonstrating the Connected Life "On the Move," Cisco mobile IP NGN solutions will show how service providers and cities are partnering to set up metropolitan-area wireless networks with the Cisco ServiceMesh Design to meet the growing need for on the move connectivity.

Cisco and Scientific Atlanta industry experts will be among the featured speakers at the show, including John Chambers, Cisco chairman and CEO, who will deliver a keynote address. For a detailed list of speakers and topics, please click here.
