Los Angeles PR Firm and APM Music Honored For Podcast Production

LOS ANGELES, June 20, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- The Public Relations Society of America has awarded the coveted Bronze Anvil Award to Schwartzman & Associates for the creation and podcast production of The APM Film & TV Music Podcast, beating out 926 applicants and securing top honor for Podcasting.

The APM Film & TV Music Podcast was created and produced for the Los Angeles-based public relations agency's client APM Music, the world's leading production music library. The program is about composing and licensing music for use in film, television, trailers, promos, video games, new media and radio productions. It can be heard on any computer with internet access at www.apmmusic.com/podcast, or downloaded via RSS to a portable MP3 player.

"The Bronze Anvils are a prestigious national honor. They represent some of the finest tactical PR work in the country. Schwartzman & Associates' exemplary work in the Podcast Category had to be outstanding because there were 927 entries for the Bronze Anvil Awards," said Joice Truban Curry, National Bronze Anvil Chair. "The national competition is a rigorous one, and Schwartzman & Associates should be held in tremendous high regard for their honor."

The APM Film & TV Music Podcast was first created to support APM Music's release of a new video game music collection. With the objective of helping APM Music build even stronger relationships with entertainment industry decision makers, the agency released the pilot episode of The Film and TV Music Podcast in May 2006, and continued regularly releasing new episodes. The interview format podcast explores the issues and challenges facing film and television music professionals through in-depth, one-on-one interviews with music supervisors, composers and executives responsible for procuring and creating music for picture.

The first four episodes released focus on the video game music business and feature exclusive one-on-one interviews with composers Tommy Tallarico (Advent Rising, Tony Hawk Pro Skater), Chance Thomas (King Kong, Lord of the Rings, X-Men), Jack Wall (Myst III & IV, Jade Empire, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow), Inon Zur (Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, Men of Valor, Champions of Norrath: Realms of EverQuest), APM Music President Adam Taylor, Bob Rice of Four Bars Intertainment and others.

Additional episodes include exclusive one-on-one interviews live from the red carpet at the 2006 Key Art Awards with Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences president Sid Ganis, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" star Jeff Garlin and Adweek reporter Gregory Solman. All six episodes conclude with movie trailer cues from APM Music.

In November, 2006, The APM Film & TV Music Podcast became the official podcast of the 2006 The Hollywood Reporter/Billboard Film & TV Music Conference, an annual event that attracts hundreds of the industry's most influential music executives. Schwartzman & Associates worked directly with The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard editors to pre-book interviews with the conference's keynote speakers. Conference podcasts were hosted by editors from both publications and include Danny Elfman, Olivia Newton-John, Maureen Crowe and Terence Blanchard.
