NEW YORK, June 27, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, today announced a component change in the Dow Jones Financial Services Titans 30 Index.
Mellon Financial Corp. (NYSE:MEL) will be deleted from the Dow Jones Financial Services Titans 30 Index. Mellon Financial Corp. is being removed due to its acquisition by The Bank of New York Company, Inc. (NYSE:BK). Immediately following the merger, The Bank of New York Company, Inc. is to change its name to The Bank of New York Mellon Corp. (NYSE:BK). The Bank of New York Mellon Corp. will replace Mellon Financial Corp. in the index.
The changes in the Dow Jones Financial Services Titans 30 Index will be effective as of the open of trading on Monday, July 2, 2007.
