Fortis maakt bekend dat Daniel Thielemans is benoemd tot CEO van Fortis Bank UK; hij vervangt Angus MacLennan, die recent werd benoemd tot Global CEO van Corporate, Institutional en Public Banking.
Daniel Thielemans wordt verantwoordelijk voor het verder ontwikkelen van de bankactiviteiten van Fortis in het VK, met bijzondere aandacht voor voortgaande groei en integratie. De heer Thielemans rapporteert aan Filip Dierckx, CEO van Merchant and Private Banking en aan Herman Verwilst, plaatsvervangend CEO en COO van Fortis, beide lid van het Executive Committee van Fortis.
De heer Thielemans is meer dan 30 jaar bij Fortis en rechtsvoorgangers in dienst. Zijn meest recente functie was die van Managing Director van Corporate Banking in België. Daarvoor bekleedde de heer Thielemans verscheidene topmanagementfuncties waaronder CEO in New York, CEO in het VK, Group Treasurer in België en hoofd Treasury in Tokio.
